Hotel in Iso-Ylläs

We were asked to develop a concept for an apartment hotel in Ylläs Ski Resort in Ylläsjärvi, Kolari, Lapland. During our design phase we also developed further the Iso-Ylläs center urban plan to enable better fit for the new buildings and logistics. The hotel is going to be built in three separate phases. The masses of the buildings follow the curves of the landscape and separate the ski slope area from the pedestrian square and shopping.

Ylläs Ski Resort is one of Finland’s favourite ski slope areas and is located in the municipality of Kolari, Lapland. Project team architects Aki Hiltunen and Erik Ristoja.
