Saariselkä competition

We were awarded a shared 3rd prize in an architectural area competition to develop Saariselkä area in Inari, Finland. This popular winter retreat area is close to UKK national park and thus needed special consideration when it comes to added housing and hotel accommodation and facilities. Our small scale building groups and development of connections within the area were the key elements of the entry. Architects Marjaana Yläjääski and Aki Hiltunen.
